I love horses, painting, photography and design, most things creative in fact. When I can combine two or more of these elements it's even more fun.
I started graphic design back in the 80's, back in the days when everything was sketched and drawn, now we have computers to help. What an evolution!
I began my love of photography in 1989 and I have worked for photographic agencies and arts organisations since leaving university in 1995. I photograph textures, patterns, shapes. Nature provides us with such diverse and changing possibilities, it seems a shame not to record such wonders.
I started painting horses in 2008, when a bad fall stopped me riding. I still had a fundamental need to connect with our wonderful equine friends in some way, so I started painting, something I hadn't really done since 1985. I want to capture the spirit of the horse, it's inner strength, beauty and wisdom. After three years I think I'm getting there!

Meet Storm, a painting created in Spring 2011. Storm made me feel like I had started to get to the essence of what I wanted to achieve in paint.

I love 'finding' photographs. The juxtaposition of the soft, shifting, sands and the rigidity of the rusty chain may have made this my best seller to date.
